Welcome to the Les Bois Recorder Society:

Founded in September 2009, Les Bois Recorder Society is American Recorder Society's only Chapter in Idaho.

Les Bois members are a mixture of professional and amateur musicians - though none of the members currently are professional recorder players. While the majority of us are amateur recorder enthusiasts a number of our members are involved in various other music entities in the community including the Darkwood Consort, 4 Shillings, the Boise Baroque Orchestra and Meridian Symphony Orchestra.

Les Bois Recorder Society promotes participation in playing of the recorder, recorder consorts, broken consorts, as well as early music in general.

This website is for Les Bois members as well as anyone else interested in learning more about recorders and early music.

Les Bois Recorder Society usually meets the first Sunday of each month (unless there is a conflict with local concerts or holidays.)   Meetings typically meet from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm.

Meetings usually meet at the Hyde Park Mennonite Fellowship located at 1520 N. 12th Street (12th and Eastman). When the Fellowship is not available, an alternative site is the Esther Simplot Performing Arts Academy at 501 S. 8th Street Suite B, Boise, ID.

Recorder musicians and guests are welcome to attend.
